Inter Departmental Debate Competition
Inter-departmental debate competition was organized by the Centre for Gender Equity and Equality, Uva Wellassa University to familiarize the students with the concepts of Gender Equity and Equality. There were three rounds in the competition and the final round of the competition was held on 8th October, 2021 with the participation of Vice-Chancellor as the Chief Guest. The teams who battled in the finals were team Computer Science and Informatics and team Tourism Studies. After a tough competition, team Computer Science and Informatics won first place. The best debater was Mr. H.D.K.M. Jayasooriya, of the team Computer Science and Informatics.
