LinkedEng 2022

To enhance the English language of 100 and 200-level undergraduates, the faculty of Applied Sciences organized LinkedEng 2022 with the help of AHEAD ELTA-ELSE Faculty Development Programme. It was held at the main computer laboratory of Uva Wellassa University on the 1st of September 2022. This program was initially started in 2021 and this year conducted for the second time. The objective of this program is to enhance students’ speaking, writing and creative talents in English. The competition contains five categories of contests, i.e.,

Debate
Storytelling/Poem/Lyrics
Speech
Drama
Singing (Solo, Duet & Groups)

It is compulsory to participate all 100 and 200 level students of each degree program with the above five categories of contests. Science and Technology debate team won the debate competition defeating the Computer Science Technology team. Winners of each contest are as follows,
